Frequently asked questions
Does this American fridge need a water connection for the water dispenser?
No, the water dispenser has an internal water tank that you refill yourself. A fixed water connection isn’t required, so you can place this appliance anywhere there’s a power socket.
What sort of household is the Fram FSBS-HM440NFXWDE designed for?
For a household that stores large quantities of fresh and frozen food at the same time. The total capacity is 439 litres, divided between a fridge compartment and a freezer compartment which are situated side by side rather than one above the other. You will need a kitchen wall at least 90 centimetres wide, as that is how wide the appliance is.
How much space do I need to leave for this fridge?
The appliance is 90 cm wide, 177 cm high and 59 cm deep. Weighing 90 kilos, it’s not the sort of cabinet you can just move on your own, so be sure to measure the route to the kitchen before you put it in place.
Do I still need to defrost the freezer on this model manually?
No, this model features No Frost technology, which prevents a layer of ice from building up in the freezer compartment and eliminates the need for manual defrosting. It also has a water dispenser and an LED touch display on the outside, allowing you to adjust the temperature without opening the door.
