Appliance outlet: new with a cosmetic flaw

The outlet stocks new appliances with minor imperfections: a box that was damaged in transit, a return made within the cooling-off period, or a small scratch or dent on the appliance itself. They are unused and not second-hand. Every appliance has been inspected and tested by an expert.

For each appliance, you’ll see photos of that specific unit and details of where the damage is. There’s one of almost every model. You’ll receive a one-year Pro Witgoed warranty, and the appliance will be delivered free of charge; freestanding appliances will be connected by the delivery team.

How our engineer checks every appliance

Every outlet appliance passes through our engineer’s hands first. What happens depends on the type of appliance, and we say so plainly.

  • Washing machines and washer dryers Run a full test cycle: washing, spinning and draining. If a machine does not pass, it does not go on sale.
  • Fridges and freezers Are connected to the mains and tested on cooling before they go online.
  • Cooker hoods Are checked visually. It is always the box or a small scratch, so we do not take damage photos. We do not connect them here either: a hood is only fitted once it reaches your kitchen.
  • Microwaves and other appliances Are checked visually. It is always the box or a small scratch, so we do not take damage photos; the condition is stated per appliance.

One year of Pro Witgoed warranty on everything. If something does not work, we sort it out.

More about the appliance outlet

Outlet at Pro Witgoed means new appliances with a cosmetic flaw: fridge-freezers, American-style fridges, freezers and chest freezers, built-in microwaves, cooker hoods and hobs. The range keeps changing, because of almost every model there is one unit. With each appliance you see the condition, photos of that unit and exactly where the damage is.

Outlet is new, not second-hand

An outlet appliance does not come out of someone’s home. It was returned within the cooling-off period, or it was damaged on its way to our warehouse. So it is not second-hand or refurbished: technically it matches a new model, the difference is on the outside.

Three conditions, and what you get

Every appliance is given a condition: Box damaged only, Lightly damaged or Visibly damaged. With the first, you see nothing on the appliance itself. With the other two there are photos of that unit and you read where the scratch or dent is, before you order.

Warranty, delivery and installation

Every outlet appliance comes with a one-year Pro White Goods warranty. A freestanding appliance is delivered free of charge, installed in its designated location and connected to an existing, working power supply – the same service as for a new appliance. Small appliances such as microwaves and extractor hoods are delivered as parcels; we deliver built-in appliances without connecting them. If anything breaks down during normal use within the warranty period, we’ll sort it out.

Who is the outlet useful for?

If you are flexible about brand and model, you get a new appliance here for less. Looking for a specific model, or a set that matches exactly, then the regular range serves you better: in the outlet there is one unit of almost every model, and once it is gone it is gone.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about graded appliances

Cannot find your question here? Feel free to get in touch with us.

Why is there only one of each appliance?

A graded appliance is a single unit: one return, or one appliance with transport damage. That is why stock is usually one. If you hesitate for long, chances are someone else buys it. The range changes, so it pays to look again later.

The appliance I wanted is gone. Will it come back?

Usually not in the same condition. Every unit is unique, and whether the same model comes in again depends on returns. The same model brand new is simply in the shop; in the graded range it is worth looking again a few days later.

Which appliances are in the graded range?

It is a mixed range. Most of the time there are fridge freezers and American fridge freezers, supplemented with freezers, chest freezers, built-in microwaves, cooker hoods and hobs. What exactly is there changes constantly, because every appliance that sells disappears from the list.

Will I still see the damage once the appliance is in place?

That depends on the spot, and that is described for every unit. A scratch on a side or on the top often disappears from view once the appliance stands between your cabinets; a dent in the door stays visible. So look at the photos of that unit.

How do I know what I save compared with new?

Every graded page carries a link to the same model brand new, with the price difference alongside. So you are not comparing with some other appliance, but with exactly the one you would buy without a scratch. The more visible the damage, the lower the price.
