With a 90 cm cooker hood the width is fixed. The differences are in the type of hood, the extraction rate and the noise. All widths and types are among the cooker hoods.
Choose a hood at least as wide as your hob. For a 70 to 90 cm hob or a 90 cm range cooker, a 90 cm hood fits. It also works above a 60 cm hob: it then catches extra steam, but takes up more wall space.
Most 90 cm hoods are chimney hoods: they hang on the wall with a chimney going up. A telescopic hood is built into a 90 cm wall cabinet; you pull out the screen when you cook. All wall models are among the wall-mounted cooker hoods.
Allow for about ten times the volume of your kitchen per hour: a 30 m³ kitchen needs around 300 m³/h. Our 90 cm hoods reach just over 300 to 800 m³/h. If your hob is in an open-plan kitchen and living room, count the volume of the whole space.
