60 cm cooker hood: what to look for

With a 60 cm cooker hood the width is fixed. The differences are in the type of hood, the extraction rate and the noise. All widths and types are among the cooker hoods.

Does 60 cm suit your hob?

Choose a hood at least as wide as your hob. A 60 cm hood goes with a 60 cm hob. For a 70 to 90 cm hob or a 90 cm range cooker, choose a 90 cm hood: it catches the steam above every zone.

Under a cabinet or on the wall?

An under-cabinet hood is mounted under a 60 cm kitchen cabinet. A telescopic hood is built into that cabinet; you pull out the screen when you cook. A chimney hood hangs on the wall with a chimney going up. All hoods for under a cabinet are among the under-cabinet cooker hoods.

How much extraction do you need?

Allow for about ten times the volume of your kitchen per hour: a 30 m³ kitchen needs around 300 m³/h. Our 60 cm hoods reach 190 to 800 m³/h. Under-cabinet hoods sit at the lower end of that range; the most powerful models are chimney hoods.

Noise and energy class

Look at the noise at the highest setting: the lower the dB figure, the calmer your kitchen. Our 60 cm hoods range from 59 to 73 dB and have energy class A+++ to C. Each product shows both values. Looking for a new hob too? You will find them among the hobs.
