Heinner tumble dryers: heat pump dryers that replace your washing line

All 17 of our tumble dryers are heat pump dryers, the most economical drying technology available today. Instead of blowing the warm air away, a heat pump dryer reuses that heat over and over. That saves considerably on your energy bill compared with an old-fashioned condenser dryer. Here you mainly choose on drying capacity (in kg), energy label and noise, and thanks to sensor drying the machine stops by itself as soon as your laundry is dry. Not sure which one suits you? Then use the tumble dryer buying guide.

All about buying a heat pump dryer at Pro Witgoed

A tumble dryer takes over the hard work of a washing line or airer and delivers dry, soft laundry all year round. At Pro Witgoed you choose exclusively from Heinner's heat pump dryers, because that is the most energy-efficient technology. Below you can read what to look at in terms of capacity, efficiency and technology, so you make a well-considered choice.

Why only heat pump dryers?

A heat pump dryer works with a closed air circuit: the warm air is cooled to draw moisture out of the laundry and is then reheated and reused. An older condenser dryer blows that heat away every time and has to heat up again and again, which costs far more electricity. That is why we no longer sell condenser or vented dryers: the heat pump dryer dries at a lower temperature, is more efficient and treats your clothes more gently.

Choosing the right drying capacity

Capacity is given in kilos and determines how much laundry you dry per cycle. Match the dryer to your washing machine and your household size: a single person or couple often manages with 7 to 8 kg, while a family benefits from a 9 kg tumble dryer. Half-filling a drum that is too large uses relatively more energy, so choose deliberately to suit your laundry pattern.

Energy label, consumption and noise

Within our heat pump dryers, the energy label makes the difference in annual consumption: the higher the class, the lower your electricity costs. Also watch the noise level in decibels if the dryer stands in or near a living space. Do you really want to steer on efficiency? Then compare the models specifically on our page about the efficient tumble dryer.

Combining with your washing machine

A separate tumble dryer next to your washing machine gives you the most freedom in capacity and programmes, and you can wash and dry at the same time. Short on space? Then also look at our washing machines or at a washer dryer that unites both functions in one appliance. Want a broader orientation? Then read the guide on buying washing and drying appliances.

FAQ

Do you also sell condenser tumble dryers or vented tumble dryers?

No, our entire range consists of Heinner heat pump tumble dryers. We have deliberately chosen this technology alone, because a heat pump tumble dryer reuses the warm air and is therefore far more economical than a condenser or vented tumble dryer. We only mention the older condenser technology for comparison; you cannot buy one from us. That way you can be sure you always take home an energy efficient model. You will find more explanation on the page about the heat pump tumble dryer.

How many kg of drying capacity do I need?

That depends on the size of your household and how often you do the washing. A one- or two-person household is usually well served by 7 to 8 kg. For a family of three to five people, a 9 kg tumble dryer is a safe choice. Bear in mind that dry laundry takes up more room than wet, so it is best to choose a drum slightly larger than your washing machine. Still unsure? Then the buying guide will help you further.

How does sensor drying work?

Our heat pump tumble dryers have moisture sensors in the drum that measure how dry your laundry is. As soon as the set dryness level is reached, the programme stops automatically. So you do not have to estimate a time yourself or leave the dryer running for too long. That saves energy, prevents your clothes from overheating and keeps the fibres looking good for longer. It is a standard function on the models in this category.

Is a heat pump tumble dryer really more efficient than a condenser tumble dryer?

Yes, and the difference is considerable. A condenser tumble dryer blows the used heat away every time and has to heat up again from scratch. A heat pump tumble dryer captures that heat and reuses it in a closed circuit, so it dries at a lower temperature and uses less electricity. Over a year that can make a real difference to your energy bill. On our page about the energy efficient tumble dryer you can see which models have the lowest consumption.

Do I get a warranty and is the tumble dryer installed?

All our tumble dryers come with a 5 year warranty, so you can dry your laundry worry-free for years. Delivery is free and we install your new heat pump tumble dryer free of charge too. A heat pump tumble dryer only needs a socket and no fixed waste water drain, so installation is simple. Would you like to read up more widely before you choose?
